Welcome: Please Read Before Posting
Welcome to the Web of Debt forum, dedicated to finding and implementing solutions to the current monetary crisis. Hopefully this forum format will overcome some technical issues in the Web of Debt blog and facilitate fruitful brainstorming and communication. Most legislation is formed in advance by “think tanks” funded by special interests, but nobody funds experts to think about how to reform the money system itself. Now, however, we have the Internet, where we can banter ideas about in “virtual” think tanks without funding. Getting anyone to pay attention, of course, is another matter; but before we even get to that stage, we need to agree on a plan. What should our money system look like and how should it work? As Buckminster Fuller said, “You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete.” Your ideas are invited here. |

What Is Money? Who Originates It? Who Controls it? Where Did Our Money System Go Astray? How is the private money monopoly benefiting the few at the expense of the community? Systemic problems with monetary theory can be addressed here. Solutions: Building New Money Paradigms
Money reformers generally agree that the creation of money by private lenders drawing a perpetual interest off the top is at the root of our systemic economic problems, but we disagree on many details. How do you visualize an ideal money system? How should it work? Who should administer it and how? Ideas are invited here. Subforums: Proposals for Federal Reforms, State or Local Level Solutions |
